New Details About the Architectural Inspirations for Villains-Themed Land at Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney Imagineering shared updates about the inspiration behind the villains-themed land coming to Magic Kingdom. The team confirmed that the journey to developing the land began with the animation source material and the Walt Disney Animation Studios artists responsible for it.

Imagineers set off to Paris, France and Barcelona, Spain to learn about each city’s architecture and its unique attributes. The team specifically studied Art Nouveau architecture design and the unique form, scale, and color that define this style. Through partnerships with local professors, along with art and architectural historians, Imagineers received an intimate look at the architectural aesthetics that will serve as the overall design inspiration for the land.

New Ride Details Released for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

August 21, 2025

Are you ready. To. ROCK?!

If not, you have until next year to prepare, because Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets comes speeding into Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2026, fueled by the tasty tunes of the Electric Mayhem and the high-speed hijinks of The Muppets.

And even more exciting – today, we have electrifying new details to share about the colorful cast of characters you’ll meet while hanging around the recording studio.

The Electric Mayhem: One Night Only!

The Electric Mayhem are headlining their biggest Hollywood concert ever! Anyone who’s anyone is in attendance to witness Animal, Dr. Teeth, and the rest of this groove-tastic group rock the house down. There’s just one little problem: the band is nowhere to be found!

Across town at G-Force Records, we’re treated to a VIP tour of the legendary rock and roll recording studio. Things might look a little different around this Hollywood institution, as the label has recently come under new management – The Muppets! We’re happy to say that our colorful crew has landed some new digs … with just a little help from Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse (he really puts the G in G-Force). Just wait until you see how they’ve made these hallowed halls their own, creating the perfect place to make sweet, sweet Muppet music together!

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Courtyard

For fans of that big – really big – hilariously big guitar, you’ll be stoked to know that the newest residents of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster are putting their own spin on that ruby red paint job.

A vibrant and psychedelic new design will grace the bottom of the guitar (inspired by a classic Muppet car paint job), and the piano motif at the base will feature a golden key as a nod to a certain far-out band leader.

Welcome to the Studio

With your VIP passes, you’ll be welcomed inside the recording studio, where – wouldn’t you know it – you’ll find the Electric Mayhem are cranking out some seriously rocking tunes. Along with the finest audio engineers (all penguins, of course) we’ll see Scooter doing his best to convince Electric Mayhem to stop jamming and get to their increasingly restless fans. But will it be enough to get the band across town and onstage in time?

A Rock ‘n’ Roll Roadtrip

With the help from our friends at Muppet Labs and a very fast limousine, we’ll take a twisting, turning, and screamingly fun road trip across Hollywood to reach the concert in time. The iconic scenery and landmarks of Tinseltown will feature a Muppet twist.

And throughout the journey, you’ll hear the Electric Mayhem playing some of the most iconic, rockin’ hits in your ears to keep the music and adrenaline pumping. Hopefully G Force Records will release a concert setlist soon!

There’s more to this Muppet-filled melody yet to come, so stay tuned for more news. In the meantime: rock on!

Europe is home to iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Colosseum, but it's also brimming with lesser-known treasures. If you're looking to escape the crowds, here are five hidden gems you must visit:

  1. Hallstatt, Austria: A picturesque village nestled between a serene lake and soaring mountains, perfect for a tranquil retreat.
  2. Giethoorn, Netherlands: Known as the "Venice of the North," this car-free village offers charming canals and thatched-roof cottages.
  3. Alberobello, Italy: Famous for its unique trulli houses, this UNESCO World Heritage site is a must-see in Puglia.
  4. Ronda, Spain: Perched on a dramatic cliff, this Andalusian town offers stunning views and a rich history.
  5. Sintra, Portugal: A fairy-tale town with palaces, castles, and lush gardens, just a short drive from Lisbon.

These off-the-beaten-path destinations will make your European adventure truly unforgettable.

P.S. Need help booking these trips? Let me know!

Packing light for a two-week vacation may seem impossible, but with the right strategy, you can travel with just a carry-on. Here's how:

  1. Plan Your Outfits: Choose versatile pieces that can be mixed and matched. Stick to a color palette to make it easier.
  2. Pack Multi-Purpose Items: Bring clothing that serves more than one purpose, like a scarf that can double as a blanket or a dress that can be dressed up or down.
  3. Roll Your Clothes: Rolling not only saves space but also helps reduce wrinkles.
  4. Use Packing Cubes: These help organize your suitcase and compress your clothes.
  5. Limit Shoes: Bring just two or three pairs that are comfortable and versatile.

With these tips, you'll breeze through airports and have everything you need for a fantastic vacation.

Japan's cherry blossom season is a magical time when the country is blanketed in pink and white flowers. But timing your visit can be tricky. Here's when to go:

  • Tokyo and Kyoto: The blossoms usually peak between late March and early April. Check local forecasts as they can vary slightly each year.
  • Hokkaido: If you miss the main season, head north to Hokkaido, where the cherry blossoms bloom in late April to early May.
  • Night Viewing: Experience the blossoms illuminated at night, a practice known as "yozakura," in cities like Tokyo and Osaka.

Book your trip early, as this is one of the busiest times in Japan, but the breathtaking beauty of the cherry blossoms is worth the effort.
